- Hapkido Specialist: For the past 20 years, he has specialized in the Korean martial art of Hapkido, earning the status of an internationally certified Master and Instructor.
- Global Recognition: In 2025, in Rome, Italy, GM Niitmets was honored with the prestigious SPARTAN HALL OF WARRIOR Platinum Award. This high-level accolade confirms his mastery and significant contribution to the global martial arts community.

Combat Kido – a modern and street-legal martial art
Combat Kido is rooted in hapkido, from which it has adopted its basic techniques, but the style has been further developed to make it more practical, aggressive, and better suited to modern self-defense situations.
